"Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem"
What is an Ecosystem? Wikipedia describes an ecosystem as a community of living organisms (plants, animals and microbes) in conjunction with the nonliving components of their environment (things like air, water and mineral soil), interacting as a system. Now that would be a very simplest definition of an "ecosystem". When we look at the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem we look at a very complex system that encompasses an area of over 28,000 square miles.
